Michael Pollan is an American author, journalist, activist, and professor. He is the creator of the The Omnivore’s Dilemma, which The New York Times named as one of the five best non-fiction books of the year, and describes the ways human societies have obtained food: our current industrial system, the big organic operation, local self-sufficient farm, and hunter gatherers. He has produced several other books and is currently a professor of journalism at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
